Dat een pornoboer de Google Glass zou gaan exploiteren was slechts een kwestie van tijd. De eerste sex-app is deze week live gegaan, maar Google krabbelt terug: geen naaktgedoe op Google Glass.
De app ‘Tits & Glass‘ van MiKandi laat gebruikers pikante video’s en foto’s zien die beoordeelt kunnen worden, en geeft ze de mogelijk om de camerabril van Google in te zetten voor wat explicite selfies zodat de rest van de ‘Tits & Glass’-community hun naaktheid kan beoordelen. Good fun, hoewel tot nu toe slechts 12 Google Glass-gebruikers van de 8.000 de app hebben geïnstalleerd.
Even geleden heeft Google echter de voorwaarden gewijzigd in de Glass Platform Developer Policies. Ze willen klaarblijkelijk niet dat Google Glass bekend komt te staan als een persoonlijk fapapparaat, en gooit naaktheid daarom in de ban:
Sexually Explicit Material: We don’t allow Glassware content that contains nudity, graphic sex acts, or sexually explicit material. Google has a zero-tolerance policy against child pornography. If we become aware of content with child pornography, we will report it to the appropriate authorities and delete the Google Accounts of those involved with the distribution.
De maker van ‘Tits & Glass’, MiKandi, zegt dat ze niet op de hoogte zin gesteld van het veranderde beleid, maar nu niets anders kan doen dan de app wijzigen. Wellicht iets met gecensureerde naaktheid á la Playboy. Of gaan ze de hentai-kant op? Hoe dan ook, morgen wordt de app aangepast en is het voor dat dozijn ‘Tits & Glass’-gebruikers gedaan met de Google Glass-pr0n.
Het statement van MiKandi-CEO Jesse Adams:
When we received our Glass and started developing our app 2 weeks ago, we went through the policy very carefully to make sure we were developing the app within the terms. We double checked again last week when making the site live on the Internet and available for install for testing during last week’s announcement. We were not notified of any changes and still haven’t been notified by Google. We also double checked our emails to see if any notifications of policy changes were announced, but we haven’t found any such emails.
